Program Description

Day surrounded by nature and Mediterranean culture until we arrive at the wonderful city of Naples where we will do a sightseeing tour. Descending towards the port of Mergellina, you will leave the city and travel south towards Vesuvius, to reach the town of Ercolano where we will stop for lunch. You will reach the disturbing ruins of Pompeii and discover the history of the fateful day in 79 AD. when nearby Mount Vesuvius erupted. The hot summer day, August 24, was an ordinary day like any other. The city of Pompeii was waking up. No one could even think that Vesuvius, at the base of which Pompeii was located, would erupt, covering this prosperous city with deadly volcanic ash. It was completely buried and within a few years no one could remember where the city was to this day. Thanks to the hard work of archaeologists and the protection of UNESCO heritage, you will have the unique opportunity to visit this incredible place frozen in time
