Program Description

Pick up from hotels in Warsaw and transfer to Kazimierz Dolny – one of the most picturesque towns in Poland. It is situated by the Vistula river – the longest river in Poland and surrounded by local vineyards, loess ravines and forests. Guided tour in Kazimierz Dolny. The town’s market square is the main point of the town. It features a number of 17th century buildings. Townhouses of Brothers Przybyl were built in the style of Dutch and Italian Renaissance and are one of the most precious examples of secular architecture in Poland from the first half of the 17th century. The town is also a place of rich history. The glory days of the town started in 14th century when King Casimir the Great bought it and initiated its growth. The community that hugely contributed into town’s growth was Jews. You can find many traces of Jewish heritage in Kazimierz Dolny. They are claimed to have lived there even since 11th century. During the tour you will see the Old Jewish Synagogue (from the exterior), the former Jewish district and visit the Three Crosses Hill, from where you can admire the panorama of the Vistula. The tour will not be complete without trying a traditional rooster made of pastry – a symbol of Kazimierz Dolny. After the guided tour, lunch in a local restaurant and free time (approx. 1 hour). Return to Warsaw in the evening.

This excursion is organized on private basis for small groups of 2 - 8 participants.
