Program Description

You'll be taken on a journey through the beautiful Taurus Mountains and will get impressed by varying Turkish landscapes. The first stop will take you breathless, you will be charmed by Salda Lake – the Turkish Maldives! The crater lake surrounded by black pine forests is one the deepest in Turkey, reaching 196m. Crystal water and white, sandy beaches are making the lake one of the most beautiful spots. Arriving at Pamukkale we will stop at a viewpoint where you’ll have a superb panoramic view of the world famous travertines to take great memorable photos. Pamukkale means cotton castle in Turkish and when you take the first look at the snowy-white terraces you’ll understand why. It’s an unforgettable moment looking at this breathtaking wonder of nature, where natural hot springs have been solidified into stalagmites and cliffs of amazing beauty. Pamukkale travertines are unique in the world. Pamukkale is listed as a World Heritage Site by the UNESCO since 1988. Take off your shoes and take a walk through this wonderland of basins filled with warm clear water and admire the scenery. After discovering the terraces you will enter the ancient city of Hierapolis which is nearby. Learn something about the multifarious and interesting history during its Byzantine and Roman periods on the guided tour and later discover it on you own or take the chance and bathe in the ancient main thermal pool. On the way back vist at leather shop and dinner.
