Program Description

Macau is a special administrative region of the People's Republic of China and is named after the A-Ma temple, which was erected in 1448 in honor of the goddess Mazu - patroness of fishermen and sailors. Pick up from hotels and travel to the port of Hong Kong, then take a speedboat to Macau. The first sightseeing point is the statue dedicated to Kum Ian, the goddess of Mercy. It is about 20 meters high and made of bronze, and cost MOP 30 million to build. Next stop at Macau Tower, a tower designed by New Zealand architect Gorden Moller. In terms of height, it ranks 11th in the world at nearly 338 meters! Optional drive to the top of the tower, where there is a viewpoint. Buffet lunch at Macau Tower or Macanese style at a local restaurant, depending on availability. Next, drive to the A-ma Temple, one of Macau's UNESCO World Heritage sites. After the temple tour, drive to the ruins of St. Paul's Church, with its impressive stone facade, walk to Senado Square, also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. At the end of the tour, visit one of the casinos for which Macau is famous - it is called the eastern Las Vegas. Transfer to the port, sail to Hong Kong Marina and return to hotels.
