Hotel pick-up. The tour begins in one of the jewels of the Caribbean Amistad Protected Area - the "Gandoca Manzanillo Wildlife Refuge". The site is characterised by mixed protection, i.e. protection between the state and civil society, where part of the reserve is owned by the government and part is privately owned by locals. The tour route is a hiking trail of about 10 km (5 km each way) on the Manzanillo side. On the trail you can see beautiful beaches and forests, many species of plants, giant trees such as fig trees, ceibas and sand trees, and animals such as Panamanian capuchins, howlers, sloths, tayras, iguanas, basilisks, eyelash vipers, woodpeckers, toucans and black hawks. In addition to the incredible biodiversity, this rainforest also offers numerous vantage points from which to enjoy the beautiful landscape. Return to hotels.
