Program Description

Exploring the incredible treasures of Vatican City, the seat of the highest authority of the Catholic Church and an extremely interesting cultural city-state. The first stop on the tour is the Vatican Museum, which contains a vast collection of artwork that has been collected by popes for many years. Places that will be visited in the museum during the tour are the Pio Clementino Room, the Belvedere of Laocoon and Apollo, the Map Gallery, the Gallery of Candelabra, the Gallery of Tapestries and one of the most famous masterpieces in the world: the Sistine Chapel with its breathtaking frescoes by Michelangelo. After the museum tour, walk to St. Peter's Basilica, the largest church in the world and a symbol of the Catholic religion, where you will be able to admire iconic masterpieces such as Michelangelo's Vatican Pietà and the Baldachin over St. Peter's tomb. The final point of the tour is St. Peter's Square.
