Program Description

Discover the highlights of Mauritius on a full-day excursion combining history, culture, local flavours and tropical nature. This tour offers the perfect opportunity to explore the island's vibrant capital as well as some of its most iconic attractions.

Your journey begins in Port Louis, the capital of Mauritius. The first stop is Fort Adelaide, where you'll enjoy panoramic views of the city skyline, harbour and surrounding mountains. Continue with a guided walk through the historic city centre, passing landmarks such as Saint Louis Cathedral, the Supreme Court, the Municipal Theatre, Parliament, Place d'Armes and Government House. The walk concludes at the lively Central Market, where you'll have time to browse local handicrafts, tropical fruits and spices.

Next, visit the modern Caudan Waterfront, a popular shopping and leisure district known for its elegant architecture, marina and vibrant atmosphere.

The tour then continues to L'Aventure du Sucre, a former sugar factory transformed into an interactive museum. Learn about the history of sugar production and its importance to Mauritius while enjoying a delicious lunch at the museum.

The final stop is the beautiful Pamplemousses Botanical Garden, created in the 18th century by French horticulturist Pierre Poivre. Stroll among exotic plants, giant water lilies, palm trees and fragrant spices in one of the oldest botanical gardens in the Southern Hemisphere.

After the tour, return to your hotel.

This excursion operates with a minimum of 2 participants.
