Tropea from Sibari

Discover the charm of Tropea, one of the most picturesque towns in Calabria, perched on a high cliff overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea. The town impresses not only with its beautiful views, but also with its atmospheric streets, historic landmarks and authentic southern Italian character.

A walk through the historic centre will allow you to experience the local atmosphere of the town. Along the way, you will see traditional artisan workshops specialising in textiles, wrought iron and terracotta crafts. The excursion also includes a visit to the Cathedral of Tropea and the former Church of Madonna della Neve.

Walking through the narrow alleys, you will admire elegant palaces built between the 18th and 19th centuries, which still reflect the town’s rich history and character.

One of the highlights of the excursion is the Sanctuary of Santa Maria dell’Isola, considered one of the symbols of Tropea and the entire coastline. Located on a rocky cliff above the sea, it offers beautiful views of the Aeolian Islands and remains one of the most important places of worship in the region.
