Program Description
Take a full-day trip from Naples and visit two places closely connected with the history of ancient Rome – Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius.
Your visit begins in Pompeii, one of the best-preserved archaeological sites in Italy. During a guided tour, learn about the city that was destroyed during the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in AD 79 and see the remains of ancient streets, buildings and public spaces preserved beneath layers of volcanic ash.
Continue to Mount Vesuvius, one of Italy’s best-known active volcanoes. Access to the Gran Cono trail is available at a specific time and requires an advance reservation. During the visit, learn more about the volcano whose eruption destroyed Pompeii and Herculaneum.

Important information
- The meeting point is in front of the entrance to Starhotels Terminus. Look for the driver holding a Project Napoli Service sign and show your smartphone ticket before boarding.
- Departure is at 10:20. Please arrive on time, as the driver cannot wait for late arrivals.
- Return to Naples is expected at approximately 17:00.
- In case of severe weather and site closure, the tour may be rescheduled or refunded.
