Program Description
Discover Rotorua's geothermal landscapes and learn about Māori culture during a visit to Te Whakarewarewa Geothermal Valley. See the erupting Pōhutu Geyser, boiling mud pools and other geothermal features.
Visit the New Zealand Māori Arts and Crafts Institute, where students learn traditional Māori crafts, including weaving. Continue to the Kiwi Conservation Centre, home to New Zealand's national bird in an environment adapted to its nocturnal behaviour.
The experience also includes a Māori cultural presentation in a traditional setting. Finish with a meal at Pātaka Kai Restaurant & Bar, serving a hāngī-style buffet.
