Ho Chi Minh and Cu Chi tunnel

Explore the highlights of Ho Chi Minh City before visiting the famous Cu Chi Tunnels, one of the most remarkable historical sites from the Vietnam War. This full-day excursion offers a fascinating insight into Vietnam's recent history and cultural heritage.

Your tour begins at the Independence Palace (Reunification Palace), an iconic symbol of modern Vietnam. Continue to admire some of the city's finest examples of French colonial architecture, including Notre Dame Cathedral and the historic Central Post Office. You will also visit the War Remnants Museum, whose exhibitions provide a powerful overview of the Indochina Wars and their impact on the country.

After lunch at a local restaurant, travel to the Cu Chi Tunnels. Before exploring the site, watch a short introductory film explaining how the tunnels were constructed and how people lived underground during the war. You will then discover sections of the vast tunnel network, including underground kitchens, living quarters, storage rooms, field hospitals and command centres.

At the end of the visit, enjoy a tasting of cassava and traditional tea, once a staple food for the guerrilla fighters. Those interested can also try shooting historical firearms at the onsite shooting range (optional, at an additional cost).

After the excursion, you will return to Ho Chi Minh City.
